We are a proactive change agent for society, advancing sustainable farming solutions that create social value. Our Enterprise objective is to open up new pathways for the marginalized and disadvantaged rural poor in the Eastern province of Kenya. We have started successful projects already in Makueni County by unlocking the full potential of agriculture to effect social change. We identify the land as a resource many times greater than the problems talked about everyday. The people are the solution, not the passive beneficiary of our interventions.

The big gap in Agricultural development and food security in areas where millions of people live on less than a dollar a day make it urgent to emphasize and promote activities that are market oriented, environmentally friendly, activities which promote livelihoods of the people enabling them to get quality life.

Shalom Interventions has a new approach favoring the development of the infrastructure usage to meet the local needs of the rural communities  by using the locally available resources  and incorporating the effort of the rural people  through agricultural practices  destined alleviate poverty.

Shalom Interventions wishes to partner with the local people, the Government, non-governmental institutions and private companies or individuals who share the zeal to empower the disadvantaged communities with the view to alleviating poverty.  

Shalom Interventions hopes to see improved incomes and sustainable economic development which will be evidenced by change of mind set where farmers view their farms as business and a poverty alleviation tool.
